A residential property was damaged after being struck by a vehicle Monday morning, says Welland Fire and Emergency Services Deputy Chief Matt Richardson.

Richardson said fire crews responded to Broadway just west of Prince Charles Drive before 8:30 a.m. for a vehicle into a building.

“They found a vehicle had hit the side of a residential building, causing a bit of damage to the exterior wall,” he said.

He said the driver was assessed by Niagara Emergency Medical Services on scene but not transported to the hospital.

The city’s building division was called in to assess the damage to the wall and determine if any action was required.
